Here's exactly what happens next, and when.
Right away: your review starts
Your medical questionnaire goes to a licensed provider who reviews your health history, your medications, and your goals to decide whether treatment is appropriate for you.
This usually takes 24-48 hours, though sometimes it's much faster. You'll get updates as it moves.
Right away: a pending charge appears
You'll see a pending amount on your statement soon after you order. This catches people by surprise, so here's what it actually is.
It's a hold, not a charge. Your bank sets the amount aside so it's ready if your prescription is approved. The money hasn't left your account yet, and nothing has been paid to us.
If you're approved, the hold becomes an actual charge and your order moves forward.
If you're not approved, the hold is released. Here's the part worth knowing: a released hold doesn't come back as a refund. There's no separate deposit and no credit line on your statement. The pending amount simply drops off and the money becomes available again. Depending on your bank, that can take up to 5 business days.
If it's been longer than that and the hold is still showing, message us with your order number and we’re happy to look into it.
If you're approved
Your prescription goes to one of our partner pharmacies. Because your medication is compounded, it's prepared for you after your prescription is written, that's part of why there's a wait between approval and shipping.
Your medication ships in a temperature-controlled package with tracking, which you'll find in your portal. See [What's in my medication package?]
If you're not approved
Your provider will explain why. Sometimes it's a condition that makes these medications unsafe for you. Sometimes it's missing information they need before deciding.
You won't be charged for medication you're not receiving, and your hold is released as described above. If your situation changes later, you're welcome to apply again. Contact your provider if you have any questions.
While you're waiting
Check your email and log in to your portal. Updates will be available in real time.
If your provider needs more information, you will receive a notification from the portal and by email. Replying quickly is the single biggest thing that speeds this up.
Make sure your shipping address is correct!
Have a look at [What are the common side effects?] so nothing is a surprise in week one.
If something doesn't look right
Message us with your order number. The most common questions at this stage are about the pending amount and about how long review is taking. Both are fair questions and we'd rather you ask than sit and wonder.
